Staff Debate: Which Top Four Seed Won't Advance?
Earlier in the week, we looked at the individual matchups for this weekend's games. With the face-off only hours away in Annapolis, let's take a look at the games themselves.
Which top four seed has the least chance of advancing?

Major League Lacrosse: John Grant Jr. Shines in Debut as Chesapeake Routs Hamilton, 20-7
ANNAPOLIS, Md. — John Grant Jr. made a spectacular debut with the Chesapeake Bayhawks on Friday, piling up seven points on two goals and five assists to spearhead a 20-7 rout of the Hamilton Nationals at Ron Joyce Stadium in Canada. Midfielder Michael Kimmel put on a shooting clinic in totaling a game-high eight points for the Bayhawks, who raced out to a huge first-half lead and never looked back in improving their record to 3-1.
Inside Lacrosse Staff Picks: NCAA Quarterfinals
The first round of the NCAA Tournament resulted in some moves at the top of the staff picks standings. Zach Babo went a perfect 8-0 and moved to within a game of Joe Sweeney. Zach has an opportunity to take the lead this week, as he and Sweeney picked differently in the Denver-Loyola and Notre Dame-Virginia games. G-Shan moved into sole possession of third with a 7-1 record and just about everyone else is still in the running... except for maybe Casey (sorry, man.)
High School Insider: MIAA Archrivals Calvert Hall and Loyola to Meet in Friday's Championship
The two perennial powerhouses, both located in Towson, have taken different roads to get to Friday's PNC MIAA Lacrosse Championships presented by Konica Minolta. Loyola — a senior-laden team that started the year ranked No. 13 nationally — has worked hard to get their first championship appearance since 2008, with three losses on their 2012 resume. Calvert Hall, with a No. 1 ranking and extremely high expectations mounted on them, has weathered the storm and turned past losses into further motivation. The Dons have nothing to lose. It might just be the opposite for the Cardinals.

Baltimore Sun: Johns Hopkins-Maryland Game is Personal
By ED LEE, The Baltimore Sun
This weekend's quarterfinal round of the NCAA men's lacrosse tournament features several compelling contests. No. 1 seed Loyola must try to beat Eastern College Athletic Conference rival Denver for the third time this season, No. 3 seed Duke and Colgate will feature Tewaaraton Award finalists in senior long-stick midfielder C.J. Costabile and junior attackman Peter Baum respectively, and No. 5 seed Virginia's high-powered offense will take on No. 4 seed Notre Dame's top-ranked defense.
MLL Rookie Report: Week 4 Edition
As Major League Lacrosse enters its fourth week, teams continue to grow and change as players file in from other lacrosse endeavors. Valued veterans who ply their trade in the NLL's cold winter months see their schedule clear with the thaw and the indoor league's playoffs ending. With the NCAA field culled to eight teams (and soon to be four), collegiate players plucked in January's draft become available to their new professional squads.
